JERRY KOROBOW lives with his wife Zo-An in Roslyn Heights, NY, and has two grown, married daughters and five grandchildren. He has many years of experience as a professional performing, touring and recording singer/instrumentalist and actor. For Jerry, over multiple decades and many professions-social worker, school music teacher, actor, restaurant/bar manager, attorney, and synagogue cantor-music has been the constant. Folk, blues, jazz, bluegrass, Celtic, country, chanteys, show tunes, children’s music, cantorial music and opera have all been part of an ongoing musical journey. Still a practicing attorney and cantor at Temple Beth Sholom of Flushing, NY, Jerry’s goal is always to engage others and encourage participation, whether singing with children, a congregation, or a concert audience. He was the subject of a feature article in the December 7, 2008 New York Times, “The Cantor Carries A Six String”. And in the summer of 2022, he performed at the famous Philadelphia Folk Festival after a hiatus of some fifty years.
