Product Description

SLICK PICK Delrin 24 Pack

Our Slick Pick has a flat pick point which performs perfectly for both thumbpicking and flatpicking applications, and it also enhances smooth strumming. This pick is neither big or bulky like many on the market and with its “slick” flat pick point it has become the favorite of countless musicians the world over. It’s a “no hang-up” pick that has an evenly rounded blade- so it moves smoothly back and forth across the strings. We produce the Slick Pick in both Delrin and Polycarb materials. The sound created from the Polycarb pick is brighter than that from the Delrin which produces a more natural, softer sound. Delrin Slick Picks are made in solid colors while the Polycarb has appealing transparent colors. The DELRIN Slick Pick is available in light/medium/heavy and your choice of regular or large size thumbholes. LEFT HAND Slick Picks are available in HEAVY gauge only.

I first started using combination flat/thumb picks in 1978 after a hand injury. the injury turned out to be fortuitous as it forced me to develop a hybrid picking style that has served me well. I’ve been using the Fred Kelly Heavy Slick Picks for well over a decade and they are the perfect shape and density for seamlessly switching from flat picking to finger style. I’ve been a professional player for 50 years, had a great career, and thanks to the possibilities this pick has provided, my playing is just peaking. My students love ’em too. Good on ya, Mr. Kelly. And don’t go out of business; if you do, I’m screwed!

I had the worst time beginning to learn the guitar. No matter which way I was shown I just could not get used to using a traditional pick. I found these by accident while browsing the internet and decided to try them.

I was amazed at how natural playing the guitar felt after just a few days of practicing with them. My practice sessions are much easier with these picks, and I hope you keep producing them for many years to come. I just wish you had a foothold in the Australian market, the exchange rate compared to the US dollar is horrible at the moment 🙂

Sometime soon I will try the speed pick I was sent as a sample and if they are of the same quality as the slick picks I think I will be getting those as well.

Again, thank you for rekindling my interest in learning the guitar.

As a bassist, it’s useful being able to switch playing styles quickly. I used to keep a plectrum under my pickguard, which always looked messy to me and involves quite a lot of faff. I then happened upon the idea of using a thumb pick as a means of quickly changing. I’ve not looked back since!

I’ve been doing this for about three years now and have tried out several popular brands. The delrin heavy picks are amazing. They sound great and seriously beat the competition, withstanding several months of practice before they need to be replaced. Plus, as a white pick, it looks classy with any instrument.

Man, I love the delrin Slick Picks. I am a convert from traditional flat picks. I play electric guitar and the thumb pick saves my index nail from being split into pieces. My first pick just wore after more than a year. Turned just a bit to the side, they work for palm mutes and heavy rock, too. Great product.
