The Bumblebee is a unique combo of a flat pick and thumb pick all rolled into one! It is fully adjustable and rotational which makes it user-friendly and adaptable to your individual playing style. Adjust the amount of blade striking the string and set the angle of attack as you prefer. Switch from thumb picking to flat picking without changing picks! Unlike the rigid feel of solid one piece thumbpicks, the BUMBLEBEE is assembled in two pieces and allows flexibility as you pick- it really does feel like having a flatpick in your hand. Just choose a BUMBLEBEE in whatever gauge and blade style you use for a flatpick and sting the strings! Made of Delrin, it provides a soft and natural sound on the strings. The Bumblebee comes in two shapes: Jazz and Teardrop. The Jazz is pointed more like a regular flat pick and is favored by players in transition between thumb and flat picking. The Teardrop has a more rounded, less aggressive point. Choose from regular or large thumb hole and right or left handed models! Bumblebees are made in light, medium, heavy and X-heavy.

Love it, wish you made xl lefty, as medium digs into my big thumbs. Great for 12 string. Larger size would be 5 star.

I saw Wes Norman from the band What Happened Yesterday perform in Greensboro NC this past week and i was blown away with his style of playing with this pick! At the meet and greet after the show, i asked him about what he was using and he said this pick is how he does it and gave me your card. About to order some bumble bees of my own!

This is so cool! i never knew they existed until i saw Wes Norman using one at a concert i went to. He’s so awesome with it! Do they come in different colors?

    • :

HI, no They do not come in differant colors. The reason they are called the Bumblebee teardrop or Jazz bumblebee is because they are black and yellow.Thank you

Please start making large thumbpicks for us left handed players! We’re already the red headed step children of guitar players. These picks are great, but lefties can only get regular sized Bumblebees and my thumbnails have been bruised heavily over the past few months from how small they are (my thumbs not even that huge) even with using the hot water trick to mold it. Great idea otherwise, flawless, but please help us suffering lefties, are lives are complicated enough, and I don’t think that’s too reasonable a request, especially for such a price for 3 picks. Ideal pick: extra heavy left-handed large jazz Bumblebee pick

    Fantastic Pick!

Let me just start by stating the obvious: These are the most expensive picks I have ever bought. The price is what held me back from ordering them. But, they are perfect.

I have used Jazz style picks for the past 10 years. When I starting using thumb pics, I tried a lot of different ones. The one I liked the best was the Fred Kelly Slick Pick. It works fantastic for picking, but for flat picking it wasn’t a perfect match. Probably an 85% match, far better than anything else. BUT, when I flat pick, I angle the tip of the pick a bit and bury it my hand so very little of the pick is exposed.

The Bumble Bee, though pricey, solves that issue. I don’t feel like I am compromising a bit when I am flat picking or going finger style. If you use a Jazz pick and you want to cross over to wearing a thumb pick, you should definitely try the BumbleBee.

Thanks a lot for such a great product! It would be nice if FK made a replacement Jazz pick for the Bumble Bee so you don’t have to constantly spend $5 on a new one when it wears out. But I understand that might not be practical or possible. Still, these are my main picks now, and I love them!
